1st International Conference on Nanomedicine Meets the Tumor Microenvironment, NanoTME2021

Description

This focused conference aims to bring together leading academic and industrial scientists, young researchers and students to share their research and expertise on different aspects of nanomedicine and the tumor microenvironment (TME). The nanomedicine field has been providing novel tools for better diagnosis and treatment of cancer. However, it has faced several challenges in clinics to impact patients, which at least partially attributes to the complexity and heterogeneity of the TME. Better understanding of the TME will help improving current nanomedicines for their tumor penetration, interaction with resident and infiltrating immune cells, drug release aspects and new payloads. These themes are the key topics of this conference. On the other hand, the gained knowledge on the crosstalk between different cells within the TME and vast immune landscape provides new opportunities to develop novel nanomedicines in the growing field of immuno-oncology. https://www.nanotme.nl/
