EASAS is a charitable, academic association engaged in the support of research andteaching concerning South Asia with regard to all periods and fields of study. The objectives of EASAS are to promote South Asian Studies in all countries of Europe. EASAS has developed from a loose network of scholars with the main intention to organise regular conferences into a full-fledged professional association. Today EASAS provides a wide range of activities and facilities for its members.
