Description
With innovations in cardio-thoracic surgery we predict and optimise patient outcomes with cutting edge technology. This includes surgical technology assessment ranging from design, clinical testing, and evaluation, to cardiac (p)rehabilitation: Better in, is better out! Finally, with medical simulation we need proficiency in surgical skills before practice on actual patients. In 2020, Dr. Halfwerk was appointed Assistant Professor and Principle Investigator of the Cardiac Surgery Innovations Lab, Engineering Organ Technologies Group, Department of Biomechanical Engineering, TechMed Centre, University of Twente. Dr. Frank R. Halfwerk also works as a Technical Physician in Cardio-Thoracic Surgery at Thoraxcentrum Twente, Medisch Spectrum Twente.Period | 2 Jun 2022 |
