    Description

We consider a Josephson junction with one or more phase-shifts. Eventhough this system was theoretically known in the late 70’s, it is just recently that it is possible to fabricate and manipulate it experimentally. I will present some results that have been obtained in the last five years, during which period I have been working on my PhD on this subject, and that describe the characteristics of this system from a theoretical point of view. Some interesting and important problems for future study will be addressed as well.
