The programme is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.IDeAMapSudan is a 2.5 year, funded by Nuffic (OKP), that developed a geospatial database for mapping deprived urban areas (e.g., informal settlements) to support the decision-making process for displacement socio-economic reconstruction in Khartoum, Sudan. The project is part of the IDEAMAPS Network (https://ideamapsnetwork.org). The project focussed on the training of trainers (ToTs )from different government organizations and NGOs. Together with the ToTs a deprivation model for Khartoum was developed that has the potential to be scaled to other urban areas in Sudan. Various government and private sector organizations and NGOs were trained on the use of the data system. The developed data system is available via a Geonode (http://geonode.idea-maps.net).Period | 20 Feb 2023 |
