Temperature-sensitive Ho3+ and Th3+ longitudinally-shaped optical fibers

Description

The temperature response of Ho3+, Tm3+ longitudinally-shaped optical fibers is analyzed numerically. It re-defines coupled pump and signal propagation equations in such structures in order to introduce different longitudinal shapes of the tapered doped fiber and the temperature dependence of the absorption and emission cross sections of both rare earths
