The role of water- and health-related local community knowledge and perceptions in decision-making

Press/Media: Research

Description

Health-related knowledge and perceptions are important determinants of health behaviours and behaviour change. What someone knows, thinks or feels will motivate or hinder their intention or hesitancy to implement a certain behaviour, i.e. the application of protective health measures. A perceived potential risk to our health and well-being can influence our health-promoting and/or health-seeking behaviour.
