I am a PhD candidate at the University of Twente (Netherlands), where I began in September 2025. My research focuses on developing advanced optical techniques for highly sensitive biosensing, with the goal of improving microbial contamination detection.
I completed my MSc in Materials Science and Nanotechnology at UNAM–Bilkent University, Turkey (2022–2025). My thesis, “Noise-Tolerant Wavefront Shaping for Focusing Light Through Multimode Fibers,” investigated the upper bounds of light focusing through multimode fibers under realistic noise. I developed a theoretical framework for intensity enhancement, retrieved transmission matrices via common-path interferometry, and experimentally demonstrated enhancement factors approaching the theoretical limit. This work highlights the potential of noise-tolerant wavefront shaping for applications in fiber-optic imaging, beam steering, and programmable photonic systems.
I hold a BSc in Electrical (Electronics) Engineering from COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan (2018–2022)
