Anna Grigolon is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning and Geo-Information Management at ITC, University of Twente. Her focus at ITC is on Land Use Transport Interactions Modeling (LUTI) and Discrete Choice Modeling.

She acquired her Bachelor degree in 2004 in Civil Engineering (Federal University of São Carlos, São Paulo, Brazil) and a Master Degree in 2006, in Planning and Operation of Transportation Systems (School of Engineering of São Carlos, University of São Paulo, Brazil). She also worked in the industry for 3 years, at two different companies in Brazil, in the fields of Logistics and Supply Chain Management (DHL Exel Supply Chain and Lupo S/A).

In 2013 she acquired her PhD title at Eindhoven University of Technology, DDSS Department (Design of Decision Support Systems), in the Netherlands. The research project concerned urban and transport planning, specifically on modeling recreation choices of individuals. It was part of the program for "Sustainable Accessibility of the Randstad" or in Dutch "Duurzame Bereikbaarheid van de Randstad", funded by the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO).


Her background includes Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Spatial Statistics and Spatial Modeling, Logistics and Supply chain management, Urban and Transport Planning, Discrete Choice Modeling.
