I am a full professor of Sociology and Public Policy. My profile is three-sided. First, I am a senior scholar in sociology using state-of-the art methods and statistics, with 25 years of exper­ien­ce. I have a broad interest with respect to research topics and a strong track record in in­ter­disciplinary projects. The last ten years, my research has increasingly focused on health and inequality. Second, I am a scholar who is actively involved in teaching and educational innova­tion, ranging from stimulating excellence programmes in university edu­cation to being responsible for exams in social sciences in secondary education. Last, I am a university professional with strategic responsibilities, who is departmental chair but also works as a trust person for the accused in Scientific Integrity Com­plaints Procedures. I have a professional network extending across academia, the field of edu­cation and society.
