Personal profile

Personal profile

I am a metallurgist, specialising in process improvement within the production space. I  have a great interest in the integration and application of quality improvement techniques into modern metal manufacturing technologies to optimize production processes, prevent machine breakdown including Process modelling and manufacturing technology developments. I am trained in the Lean Green belt and currently pursuing a course in Lean Six Sigma Green belt. I am eager to learn and always searching for opportunities to develop myself as an Engineer and a professional in general.

Research interests

Additive manufacturing is a destructive technology that is remodelling the manufacturing industry. My research focuses on integrating quality management strategies to metal additive manufacturing to reduce product deviation within a batch production of similar parts in a powder bed fusion. It involves studying and understanding the sources of deviations in the technology, outlining and understanding critical process parameters. Based on the challenges in modern technology, there is a need to evaluate existing and new quality models to improve the quality of AM components especially for batch production of similar parts.

Projects

I am currently working on my PhD project focusing on Laser powder bed fusion for metal manufacturing. My project is centred on high-volume, low mix production in metal AM . the aim is to quantify variations and minimise them to improve quality.
