I am an assistant professor of reliability, maintenance and service logistics at University of Twente. I received my Ph.D. from Middle East Technical University, Turkey, in 2010. I worked as a researcher and instructor at Cankaya University, Turkish Military Academy, Eindhoven University of Technology and Erasmus Univeristy Rotterdam (part-time). I have been involved in research projects on proactive after-sales service logistics for capital goods (ProSeLo, ProSeLoNext) and proactive maintenance planning (MANTIS).

I am currently working on three project initiatives: (1) PERISCOP, which is on AI-empowered flexible production and supply planning for SME+s, and coordinating this project and participating as a co-lead, (2) DESIRE, a project on smart, sustainability, and resilient manufacturing with a bit broader focus with a role of co-applicant and WP-leader, and (3) OpsCenter, which is on service control towers for after-sales service logistics and participating in this project as a co-applicant.

My current research interests lie in using data for (i) predictive maintenance and spare parts supply planning in after-sales service logistics of capital goods, (ii) proactive and adaptive production planning and predictive maintenance for Industry 4.0 (smart industry).

I am currently working on projects on (i) predicting, planning, and scheduling for service control towers in after-sales service logistics, and (ii) Industry 4.0 (smart industry), flexible and proactive production and supply planning and scheduling with a particular focus on SME+s.
