Personal profile

Research interests

My interests lie in the use of remote sensing in ecology, biodiversity and conservation research and applications. Currently, I am developing earth observation-based workflows and software to assess ecosystem restoration effectiveness. In the past, I worked extensively on mapping Amazonian forest biodiversity patterns and dynamics using multispectral remote sensing. I have also experience in multispectral, thermal and SAR image processing (topographic and directional normalization, image compositing), remote sensing of soil moisture and evapotranspiration, time series analysis, and distribution modelling of disease vectors.
