Personal profile

I am an active researcher in both fundamental and applied polmer and surface chemistry. I am predominantly interested in the responsive polymers and how they interact with and behave at interfaces. I have performed extensive fundamental research on the behaviour of stimulus responsive polymers grafted from solid interfaces, and reported how these smart coatings behave in a variety of aqueous environments. I have investigated pH-, salt-, thermo- and specific ion-responsive polymer coatings; recently using our vast experimental knowledge to tackle the subject through theoretical approaches.

My current and main research focus is investigating novel water-based routes for the preparation of polymeric membranes.
