Personal profile

Following a Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Twente (2016), I started my PhD in the Magnetic Detection and Imaging group. The main goal of my PhD is to develop a laparoscopic probe for sentinel node biopsy. This is significant, because it will help to personalize cancer patient care. To achieve this, we use a magnetic probe in combination with magnetic nanoparticles. To further improve our detection technique, we developed a characterization method for superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles.
