Peter de Vries is assistant professor at the department of Psychology of Conflict, Risk, & Safety. His past and current research interest are best described as Human-Technology Interaction. Past research includes the effects of automaticity on the execution of behavioural intentions in the context of light regulation, the effect of interactive feedback in household appliances on energy saving, and the effect of trust on technology use.
Current areas of expertise and experience:
Behaviour change in the energy transition; e.g., the (adverse) effects of sustainable technology on energy use; psychological underpinnings of formation, development, and continuance of energy communities.In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all.
