Roshanak Darvishzadeh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Natural Resources (NRS), Faculty of Geo-information Science and Earth Observation. Her research interests lie in quantitative remote sensing for mapping and modelling plants' biophysical and biochemical traits at leaf and canopy levels. Her research includes analysis of remote sensing data obtained from various platforms for assessing vegetation growth, health, disease, and abiotic and biotic stress factors with applications in agricultural and natural ecosystems. She has considerable experience using field and lab methods to measure vegetation properties. She is a member of several national and international professional associations. Besides education, research activities, and mentoring and supervision of MSc and PhD students, Dr Darvish is actively working toward fostering equal opportunities for women in Earth observation science.
