I moved to the Netherlands in 2016 to do my master's in Energy and Process Technology at TU Delft. During my thesis, I worked on amine-based Carbon Capture (CO2 capture) systems with TNO. My focus here was to understand the growth mechanism of aerosols which is a major source of solvent (amine) emission.
In 2019, I joined Twence BV in the Netherlands. As a process engineer (research), I worked alongside Coval Energy in the development, scale-up and process optimization of a medium scale (high-pressure) electrochemical CO2 reduction system. A successful high-pressure demonstrative unit was created for converting CO2 to Formic Acid/Formate with 100+ hours of continuous operation.
In February 2021, I started my PhD at the Photocatalytic Synthesis group at the University of Twente where I am currently researching the development of nanostructured electrodes for electrochemical purposes.
My research interest involves a variety of sustainable process technologies like Carbon Capture, Carbon Utilization (CO2 reduction) and Electrochemistry. Through my PhD, I am also extensively involved in fundamental electrochemical and photochemical studies, which combines material science, nanomaterials and chemical analytical techniques.
