Wai Yan (Warren) Yong received the Bachelor’s Degree (First Class Hons.) in Electronic Engineering from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia in 2016 and Master of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2018. He was the recipient of the UTHM Chancellor’s Award during the 16th  UTHM Convocation. He also received the Best Postgraduate Student Award from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia for his master’s degree which presented during the 60th UTM Convocation.

He is currently working toward his Doctor of Philosophy with the Department of Telecommunication Engineering, University of Twente, Netherland under European Union Marie Currie Project - WaveComBE. His Ph.D. research is focused on the development of the massive MIMO Antenna at the millimeter-wave band for future communication. His research interest includes but not limited to antenna design, frequency selective surface, new materials for antenna and microwave devices, antenna and microwave devices with flexible features, electromagnetic compatibility and electromagnetic for biomedical applications.
