Abstract
Who would ever expect that a bank would complain about the number of calculations required to do anything, let alone cut down costs? Mr. Peffer and Dr. Telgen describe their experiences in implementing a cash management system for use by independent local banks; when they got that response—perhaps because a square root calculation was required?—they made the system even easier to use. It seems that the savings in this case should be obvious to the prospective users. Why is it so hard to get people to save money especially if they are bank employees?
