N2 - In this paper, genetic programming (GP) as a novel approach for the explicit modeling the phase equilibria of polymer solutions is presented. The objective of this study is to develop robust model based on experimental data for prediction of solvent activity in polymer/solvent mixtures. Molecular weight, density, chemical structures of polymer and solvent, and concentration of polymer solution were considered as input parameters of the model. Activity of solvent is considered as output parameter of the model. Some statistical parameters were calculated in order to investigate the reliability of model. The results showed very well agreement with the experimental data with an average error of less than 3%.
