    Abstract

The increasing demand to understand the behaviour of electromagnetic waves in many real life problems requires solution of the Maxwell equations. In most cases the exact solution of the Maxwell equations is not available, hence numerical methods are indispensable tool to solve them numerically using different methods. In this thesis we consider the Maxwell equation in time and frequency domain, and for the space discretization we always apply N´ed´elec elements which are correct basis to describe the electromagnetic waves.
