Abstract

Concentrations down to 300 pM of the interleukin-6 biomarker, identified as an inflammatory marker for severe COVID-19 infection, have been detected in buffer using referenced microring resonators in the emerging Al2O3 integrated photonic platform. Antifouling was achieved by applying an Xantec HC1000M hydrogel.
