On the 27th of August 2017, the Brazilian president Michel Temer has given permission to abolish an Amazonian reserve the size of Denmark, instigating concerns of an influx of mineral companies, road-builders and workers into the Amazon forest (Watss, 2017). Randolfe Rodrigues of the Sustainability Network party described the dissolution of the Renca reserve, which has a surface of 46,000 square kilometer, as the biggest attack on the Amazon of the last 50 years. The destruction of the rainforest is a problem that occurs for a long time, but there are still no permanent sollutions for it. This topic has been in articles, news and newspapers for years, but the fact is that most of the people ignore this problem. In this article the following will be discussed in order: consequences, causes and the prevention of the Amazon destruction
