    Abstract

The present paper is focused on starved EHL contacts operating with variable lubricant supply. It is found that the variable lubricant supply affect the gap height in the centre of starved EHL contacts. The effect of harmonic lubricant supply is investigated for different operating conditions, wavelengths and degrees of starvation.
