Abstract
The polynominal approach to minimax frequency domani optimization of multivariable feedback has been successfully applied to the mixed sensitivity problem to improve robustness and disturbance rejection. The purpose of theis paper is to extend the polynomial equalizing approach to what has been called super-optimization, a hierarchical process for minimizing not only the largest, but all the singular values. It is not difficult to find examples where this is of great relevance for further improvement of the quality and robustness of the control.
