An error note on "A generating-function analysis of multiprogramming queues"

In the paper entitled "A generating-function analysis of multiprogramming queues", Hofri derives explicit representations for some of the queue length probabilities of a multiprogramming model. These representations have the form of infinite sums of powers. In the present note it is demonstrated that these representations are not always correct. It is shown when these representations hold and when not.
