Abstract
For a class of spectral systems a complete characterization of all controlled invariant subspaces contained in a closed subspace will be given. This characterization is given in terms of the invariant zeros of the transfer function. As a consequence of this we derive necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of V*(Ker C), the largest controlled invariant subspace in the kernel of C.
