Abstract

In this chapter, we describe how ArchiMate can be combined with other modelling techniques, and we show how it can provide a conceptual foundation for other common approaches. The next sections provide mappings between ArchiMate concepts and those from other techniques and illustrate how these work together. Of course this is not an exhaustive list of possible mappings; it is intended as an inspiration to create your own relationships with other techniques. In addition, since ArchiMate does not provide its own architecture development process, we show how it can be used in conjunction with the TOGAF Architecture Development Method.
