Computer assisted school administration: the Dutch experience

    Abstract

    This article starts with a description of the Dutch educational system in relation to how CASA developed in The Netherlands. Subsequently, several Dutch developmental stages of CASA are discussed. Next, attention is paid to available Dutch applications and their degree of use. After that, the relations between the variables in each of the variable blocks in the framework presented in the lead article of this issue of the Journal of Research on Computing in Education are discussed for the Dutch situation. Finally the future of CASA in The Netherlands is treated in terms of desirabilities and required activities.
