    Abstract

The Cone Loading Test with a static penetrometer consists in stopping the penetration at a desired level and carrying out a loading of the cone by successive steps until the rupture of the ground. We obtain a loading curve connecting the applied pressure on the cone to the settlement resulting from this one. This communication presents the various factors of influence, the correction methods and a deformation moduli study developed to carry out the interpretation of a Cone Loading Test. We present the results collected from a campaign carried out with a semi-heavy traditional static penetrometer.
