Abstract

The authors regret that in the published article the statement in the Introduction: “New insights … mechanistically invalid.” was not phrased more cautiously. The sentence should read: “New insights, however, have revealed that at least three different adsorption sites can be present [7, 8] and showed that direct CO hydrogenation on Cu/ZnO catalysts is blocked [9, 10].” Furthermore, the word “sole” in section 2.1 (first alinea; in “… CO2 is the sole carbon source…”) should be replaced by “dominant”. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
