    Abstract

A CW and pulsed near-infrared (IR) detector made of aerosol-deposited YBCO thin films has been developed. The main characteristic of these films is the fine-grain structure, which will increase the detector sensitivity due to the presence of a high density of boundary weak links in a bridge or meander. Under certain conditions, a responsivity (ℜ) and detectivity (D*) of about 10 V/W and 108 cm√HZ/W respectively are yielded. The response pulsewidth is less than 100 ns at 77 K.
