Abstract
The COVID-19 epidemic, or more precisely the political decision in many countries around the world to introduce policies restricting mobility up to and including lockdowns, has had a major impact on transport systems and mobility practices. However, the pandemic occurred in an already rapidly evolving context. Analysing mobility in a post-COVID world requires looking at all the changes that had already taken place in transport systems over the last 20 years or so and had an impact on mobility practices. The aim of this chapter is to briefly retrace the major innovations in ICTs and the organisation of working time that made possible the rapid transformations observed during the COVID-19 epidemic.
