    Abstract

Prussian Blue (PB) is the mixed-valent compound, ferric ferrocyanide which can be used in electrocatalytic, electrochromic and charge storage applications. Observations of the electrochemical properties of PB have been done by different methods, e.g. electrochemical and optical. In this paper, another possibility to study the redox properties of the PB film will be shown by using an Electrolyte Metal Oxide Semiconductor FET (EMOSFET)-structure. The PB film is deposited by a cyclic voltammetric method on top of the gate oxide of the EMOSFET. The redox properties of the PB film are investigated by means of measuring the threshold voltage, VT, of the device. The threshold voltage reflects the oxidation ratio of the PB. By using the EMOSFET with the PB gate, the influence of potassium and of hydrogen peroxide on the electrochemical properties of the PB have been studied.
