title = "Electromagnetic interference in complex power supply networks",
abstract = "The power supply electromagnetic interference (EMI) phenomena are strongly related to power quality (PQ). Power quality is conventionally related to the quality of supply in terms of fast voltage variations (sags, surges), slow variations (flicker) and harmonics. The majority of these fluctuations are caused by variations in the load. In modern dense distribution networks with a large number of generators and many fast switching consumers, the risk of electromagnetic interference is increasing. A comparison of standards describing EMI phenomena, including the PQ issues, is made. The risk of electromagnetic interference, including due to transient effects, via the power distribution network will be estimated using transmission lines for the network and behavioral models for non-linear generators and connected equipment.",
