GIS serving field completion: Field data collection with a portable computer: efficient and cost-effective

When creating or revising digital topographic databases, field completion is the most accurate source of information both thematically and positionally. However, field completion is also the most expensive way of data collection. We are proposing a new approach based on the use of a portable computer that will make field completion work more efficient and cost-effective.
