Abstract
The objective of the book is to bring together the leading university spin-off programmes in Europe and to offer these as best practice to a target group of "newcomers" in this business.In total 19 contributions presenting their experience, their best practice focused on the specific mechanisms and the support infrastructures for university spin-offs.This work has been carried out in the framework of the EMBRYO PROJECT, supported by the European Commission, across the Programme for The Promotion of Innovation and Encouragement of SME participation (Enterprise Directorate-General).The editors of this book are affiliated with two of those university spin-off programmes: the TOP programme of the University of Twente (Netherlands) and the EMBRYO programme of the University Miguel Hernández of Elche (Spain).
