Abstract

Integration of production data for life-cycle cost-oriented process chain planning. A framework for life cycle cost oriented design of process chains is presented. Specialized planning tools access to an integrated database (planning-, inventory-, and online shop floor data). It uses OPC UA und AutomationML to connect shop floor and planning departments and shows that data consistency is feasible with available standards. This enables a forecast of energy consumption during process chain design and a demand specific dimensioning of machine components, to ensure economically reasonable investment decisions.
