Abstract

This book discusses the evolution of mobility practices and their relationship with urban planning and transport systems in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, energy crisis, and climate change. It emphasises the need to focus on the articulation between mobility and urban planning practices, while also highlighting the return to pre-crisis mobility levels. The book recommends integrating mobility policies at different scales based on citizens’ practices rather than imposing predefined models. Additionally, it highlights the benefits of changes in mobility for energy consumption and physical health, and emphasises the importance of evaluating the potential of the territory and the diversity of mobility practices using transport science tools.
