Laser-induced Periodic Surface Structures on Medical Grade Cyclic Olefin Copolymer

Research output: Contribution to conferencePosterAcademic

Abstract

Surface modification of polymers gains rising interest in the (medical) industry. Those modifications can change surface properties like wettability, reflectivity, friction and bacterial, or respectively cell adhesion. The creation of LIPSS (laser-induced periodic surface structures) is on way to modify polymer surfaces, which remains to be challenging. Here, we present our efforts showing first results of LIPSS after single-location experiments.
