title = "LES of Coupled Poiseuille–Couette (Air–Water) Flows: Sensitivity to Scaling",
abstract = "Scaling parameters governing the physics of two-phase flow turbulence are presented, in particular for the study of coupled Poiseuille–Couette flows where waves are well under the capillary regime. Different approaches can be followed to either simplify the analysis of the results or computational requirements to run such case. Such simplification implies the modification of the comprising fluids{\textquoteright} properties in a way that reduces the local Reynolds number to a one-to-one relationship. Here an analysis is made to show that, regardless the real properties of the comprising fluids, a proper scaling of the comprising governing equations motion and compatibility conditions at the interface between the fluids render a solution suitable for the study of the physics of turbulence. Nevertheless, quantitative differences exist specially for quantities regarding TKE and Reynolds stresses.",
