Lipid-polymer-conjugates compositions comprising corticosteroids for the treatment of cancer

The use of long-circulating colloidal carrier compositions comprising a corticosteroid and a lipid-polymer-conjugate, wherein the polymer is a poly((derivatised) amino acid) and optionally a further useful active ingredient, for the manufacture of a medicament useful in the treatment of non-lymphatic cancer and especially of solid (non-haematological) malignancies and metastases (solid primary and secondary tumors) is provided. Also provided are long-circulating colloidal carrier compositions comprising a corticosteroid in combination with a further drug or active ingredient that enhances the beneficial effect shown by the corticosteroid alone.
