Abstract
Samantha Brennan and Maren Behrensen debate questions of visibility and queer identification of two marginal groups within LGBTQ communities: bisexuals and intersexuals. Working through questions of political recognition, fashion, and sexual citizenship Brennan explores the limits and possibilities of the communicative process of bisexual visibility. Behrensen develops arguments that established intersexuals as queer with qualification, yet separates intersex visibility from other types of queer visibility via the medical trauma of intervention on intersex bodies which simultaneously also adheres the history of queerness to contemporary concerns for intersex persons.
