Abstract
We have studied the influence of a small admixture of nitrogen on the melting line of helium. The existence of a triple point at 116.5 kbar enables us to determine whether nitrogen dissolves in solid helium. Therefore, the three-phase line fluid-solid-solid in this mixture has been investigated from 50 up to 170 kbar. We have found no evidence for a quadruple point.
