    Abstract

    The present invention relates to a method and system for localization in wireless networks. More in particular, the present invention is relates to Received Signal Strength (RSS) based localization in wireless networks, such as localization based on Radio Interferometric Positioning (RIP). Unlike known implementations of RIP, the present invention optimizes an accumulated error taking into account multiple frequencies and multiple transmitter / receiver combinations simultaneously. This increases the accuracy of the method and device.
