Modelling and analysis of hybrid dynamical systems

    Abstract

    In this paper we discuss features of hybrid dynamical systems based on the hybrid automaton model. Next we describe an alternative way of representing hybrid systems by event-flow formulas. Finally, a special class of hybrid dynamical systems, called complementarity systems, is discussed, and conditions for existence and uniqueness of solutions are reviewed.
