Abstract
The aim of the present study was to investigate the inhomogeneous deformation patterns that arise during PSC testing and the consequences for the parameter identication procedure. The main tool used in the study was the existing nite element code Dieka developed at the University of Twente. This code was adapted for this project by, among others, the inclusion of a new physically based material model developed by Hoogovens Research and Development, such that both two- and three-dimensional fully thermo-mechanically coupled
simulations have been made possible.
