Abstract

Indicator for coastal problems is often concentrated to shoreline positions and trends as well as the state of the coastal profiles, either by the scientists, coastal engineers or coastal managers. Monitoring morphological development in geospatial studies requires information on the horizontal and vertical positions of a coastal feature relative to the coordinate system and the elevation reference (datum) used.
