Abstract

BLUEPRINT FOR A COHERENT MODERN PENSION SYSTEM
Pension is becoming an active factor in Human Resource ManagementOwing to the plethora of developments involving pensions, organisations nowadays find it increasingly difficult to know what to do with their pension schemes. In the past few years, the Government has changed its policy with respect to social security and pensions. At the same time, the pension policies of organisations and the expectations of pension scheme participants have changed. In addition, insurance companies and pension funds have concentrated their marketing efforts on the customer. Add to all this the non-transparency of pension issues, the introduction of attractive new products, aggressive marketing and the chaos is complete. Accordingly, a clear view of and insight into the situation is imperative.
